Personal

In my own words.

Why I am standing again

Salzgitter is my home. I was born here, and I have carried responsibility here for almost two decades. Our city is in the midst of the greatest industrial change in its history. Solidarity in our urban society has always been strong, but it is showing cracks that need mending. Voluntary work, which is so vital, must be strengthened further at every level. I want to manage this path with experience and reliability: for secure jobs, lively districts, strong voluntary work and firm solidarity.

What Salzgitter means to me

Here I am a human being, here I can be myself! Whoever lives here rolls up their sleeves and sticks together. That is exactly the spirit I experience every day.

My view of Salzgitter

Salzgitter is a significant city whose 31 districts give it a family feel, and whose economic lifeblood lies in its five large industrial companies as well as its thriving small and medium-sized businesses, skilled trades and agriculture.
